Joe H. Tucker, Jr. is a nationally recognized trial lawyer and the founder and managing partner of Tucker Law Group. With numerous jury trials to verdict in both state and federal courts, Joe is known for his clarity under pressure, strategic insight, and relentless pursuit of justice on behalf of his clients.
Joe’s practice encompasses a broad range of high-stakes civil litigation, including commercial disputes, mass torts & product liability, employment discrimination, constitutional claims, and higher education law. He has excelled in defamation actions, as well as the prosecution and defense of catastrophic personal injury matters. Clients often call on Joe to try those cases that must be tried. A passionate legal educator and thought leader, Joe has lectured nationwide at local law schools and taught trial advocacy at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is also the host of the podcast The Rule of Law: The Academy Speaks, where he interviews prominent trial lawyers and legal figures about defending democratic values in the courtroom and beyond.
Joe earned his undergraduate degree from Howard University and his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Before becoming a lawyer, Joe was a licensed CPA. Deeply committed to public service, Joe serves on the Board of the Committee of 70 and the Philadelphia Free Library. In addition, Joe has served on the Board of the Support Center for Child Advocates, has been a Big Brother, and has been a host-parent through A Better Chance, supporting educational opportunities for underrepresented youth. Joe has held numerous leadership positions in the bar and also served as President of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia. Numerous organizations have honored him for his commitment to public service.
He is a lifetime member of Trout Unlimited, a marathon runner, a cyclist, and an avid fly fisherman. Whether in a courtroom or waist-deep in a trout stream, Joe is defined by discipline, clarity, and purpose.
