Elizabeth A. Castillo is an Associate with Tucker Law Group, LLC, specializing in civil litigation and appeals. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. Ms. Castillo came to TLG from the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania where she served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Justice Kevin M. Dougherty. She brought with her firsthand experience of the Pennsylvania court system, and excellent analytical and writing skills.
Previously, Ms. Castillo worked as a summer associate handling matters in a diverse range of practice areas including civil litigation, employment, immigration, business, and real estate. She graduated top of her class from Temple University Beasley School of Law, and received many accolades – a Beasley Scholarship (merit-based full tuition), Rubin-Presser Social Justice Fellow, the Monica Rasch Award (academic achievement while overcoming adversity), and finalist of the I. Herman Stern Moot Court Competition. She participated in both Moot Court and Temple Law Review, and clerked for the Hon. Juan R. Sánchez of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania through the Federal Judicial Clerkship Honors Program. She worked as a legal intern with the Temple Legal Aid Office and Sheller Center for Social Justice. She continues to support clients from her law school days as pro bono counsel.
Before embarking on her legal career, Ms. Castillo graduated from George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs. She spent four years in La Paz, Bolivia working with the Pan American Health Organization and celebrity chef Claus Meyer’s foundation Melting Pot Bolivia and social enterprise Gustu. She is fluent in Spanish.
In her free time, Ms. Castillo enjoys the comforts of her Philly rowhome with her partner and cats. Her hobbies include hiking, gardening, and cooking up new recipes.
